President of DAV Management Committee Dr Poonam Suri has elevated Dev Mittar Ahuja of Abohar as vice president of the national body.
This is the second important appointment from the area. Earlier HR Gandhar, former principal of the DAV College here, was appointed vice president.
The principals of DAV Colleges and schools in Abohar sub division have welcomed the elevation of Ahuja who was serving as president of the local advisory committees of the institutions here for a long time.(SUBHEAD)
A graduate from the prestigious Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani, Ahuja has served as president of Abohar Chambers of Commerce, Rotary Club and member of the Municipal Council (MC) besides other social organisations. He is the eldest son of late Rai Sahib Kundan Lal Ahuja, the longest serving president of the Abohar MC who was also a former member of the Punjab Legislative Council.
