Cinema industry always finds their finest gems when their roots are in theatre. Manoj Bajpayee, Irrfan Khan, Radhika Apte, Shabana Azmi, Naseeruddin Shah and the list goes on— are a few names who worked their way from theatre to cinema. Taking this legacy forward for the next gen are the promising duo Shivam Sinha and Himanshu Goel, who unlike the recent times of influencers era have instead had a stronghold established with their art and have been proving their mettle with theatre.
The two promising artists will soon be seen sharing screen space with their talents and will be marking their OTT debut.
Shivam Sinha recently als, did a theatre production with Chilsag Theatre Company. Titled “Kahani Kavita Aur Rangmanch”, the same was directed by Natya Bhushan awardee Sachin Gupta. Shivam essayed the lead character in Premchand's Bade Bhaisaab. The artist also was a crucial part of Ramdhari Singh Dinkar's Rashmirathi. In addition to acting, Shivam Sinha is a philanthropist and he also assists his father Ravi Kumar with his NGO ‘Shreeyog’.(SUBHEAD)
Sinha has been active in theatre since the past five years. His OTT debut will see him in a lead role alongside another popular actor. Shivam’s inspiration is Manoj Bajpayee and similar to his inspiration,Shivam is very popular in the Delhi theatre circle for his powerful voice.
Shivam’s contemporary and friend, Himanshu Goel— an avid thinker, photographer and football enthusiast/player also acted in the theatre production ‘Kahani Kavita Aur Rangmanch’, along with a popular poetry. The actor has been very active in theatre and has been appreciated for the intense roles he has portrayed. Himanshu idolises Pankaj Tripathi. He too will soon be making his debut in Bollywood along with his actor friend Shivam Sinha.
While the two artists are excited to embark on their journey to stardom with their Bollywood debut, talking about a recent trend #BoycottBollywood, they strongly feel that good content would surely work in any circumstance or differences in opinion.
