Speaking at this district level event “Lohri dhiyan di” in Kundal village, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Senu Duggal said that now there is a change in the thinking of the society. There is no difference between daughters and sons. Girls need to be given equal opportunities to progress in education and every field.
Balluana MLA Amandeep Singh Goldy Musafir said that the Punjab government is striving for the progress of the people. The govt. has released funds for the renovation of the Ramsara Minor Canal, while the renovation of the Sukhchain Minor will also start. He announced the construction of a library and Aam Aadmi Clinic in village Kundal.
School students presented a cultural program, the women of the village also made this festival of Lohri memorable with Punjabi folk songs. The DC distributed gifts to the families of recently born female children.
