SPECIAL LOHRI CELEBRATIONS ORGANISED BY NGO TAMMANA AT SAMARTH -HOME AND ASHREYA

Special Lohri celebrations were organised by NGO Tammana at Samarth -Home for the differently abled, Sector 15 Chandigarh for its residents & also included differently abled from Ashray Home, Sector 47, Chandigarh.

'Following the meet and greet , a bonfire was kindled and everyone gathered around it to perform the rituals & danced their hearts out to the Dhol' shared the event SPOC and member Yuvika Murali.

The Founder President Isha Kakaria shared that differently-abled people are often subjected to discriminatory prejudice and stigma in society, so the main aim of organising this event was to create awareness of disability inclusivity in society which leads to their increased participation in socially expected life roles and events.(SUBHEAD)

Residents & members of the team, dressed in the festive theme; together sang songs & performed dances. Musical chairs were also played shared Office Coordinator Meenakshi Mahajan.

Tammana has been serving the society for more than 14 years, shared Chief Advisor Prabhjeet Singh. The NGO has no joining fee. Those willing to join can register at www.tammana.org.in.
