CHANDIGARH CRIME BRANCH NABS ANOTHER HIMACHAL RESIDENT WITH SIX KG CHARAS

In a major breakthrough the team of ANTF, Chandigarh under the supervision of Insp. Satvinder Singh with the close guidance of DSP Crime Sh. Rajnish broken the chain of drug paddler by the arrest of drug producer namely Bhavneshwar on the instance of accused Parvesh who is in police custody. With the arrest of Bhavneshwar approximately total 6 kg charas (commercial custody) was recovered by the ANTF Team.

The accused identified as Bhavneshwar S/o Sh. Puran Chand r/o Vill. Shalwad, Panchayat Bagi Distt. Mandi. HP. Aged 26 years.

On 17.1.2023 accused Parvesh was arrested with 2 kg 420 gram Charas and Consequently, Case FIR No. 6 Dt. 17.1.2023 U/s 20 NDPS Act, PS-39, UT Chandigarh was registered against him. He was produced in the court and 3 days police remand was obtained. During police remand a raid was carried out in Himachal Pradesh alongwith the accused and on the identification of accused Parvesh, the main supplier of Charas namely Bhavneshwar was arrested from near parvati river, Vill. Katagla Distt. Kullu and 2 kg 500 gram charas was recovered from his possession. Section 29 of NDPS Act was added in the present case.(SUBHEAD)

MODUS OPERANDI: Accused Bhavneshwar is main producer of Charas, he cultivates the charas at the free space in the jungle area, when the weed is ripe, labour was hired from Nepal for harvesting the same. After that he sold drugs to the customers.

Accused Bhavneshwar is being produced before the Hon’ble District Court and police remand will be obtained to the name of person (s), whom, it to be sell in tricity. A thorough interrogation and investigation will be done.
