THE STUDENTS WHO CAME TO STUDY FROM ABROAD SOUGHT HELP FROM THE CHIEF MINISTER OF PUNJAB

Face2News/Chandigarh

Due to the neglect and indifference of the Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training, the future of around 200 international students who have come to study from different countries is in the dark.

These students shared their difficulties with media in the Chandigarh Press Club and appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to intervene and resolve the matter. Meanwhile talking to media, these students said that they started their academic studies in different colleges of Punjab by enrolling in the diploma courses conducted by the Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training. Internal exams are also held in their campus.

The entire information of these students was also being updated on the official web portal. Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training Board put halt on their courses on the term of eligibility check. Despite the fact that AIU clearly stated the eligibility parameters of the boards, they were asked to do the eligibility check. Instead of helping these students of different countries, the board refused to be help for all the students. (SUBHEAD)

Foreign students, while condemning the rigid attitude of the Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training, said that they have come to Punjab to get education from different countries of the world. The technical board first gave them admission, they studied for a long time, also gave internal exams . Now its almost time of final exams ,All such checks must have done at the time of admission not at the end of the course . Due to which the future of hundreds of students is at stake. If the board have such conditions then these must be checked before giving admission to foreign students.

These students appealed to the Punjab government and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and said that on the one hand, the Chief Minister talks about making Punjab an education hub. On the other hand, the students who came to get education in Punjab are being deprived from getting education. With the flow of this reversed Ganga, no foreign student will come to take admission in the educational institutions of Punjab.

The students have tweeted an appeal in this regard to the Chief Minister of Punjab, Union Education Minister and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Students are hoping that this issue might be solved with the intervention of the government and their precious one year can be saved.
