Shree Saini, the first Indian girl to win the title of Miss World America, suddenly reached Sriganganagar. She inquired about the health of her maternal grandfather Tilak Raj Sachdeva at Jindal Heart and Super Specialty Hospital. Mr. Sachdeva was out of the ICU by then and is feeling fine now. He has a special identity as a progressive farmer, businessman and social worker of Abohar.
Shree Saini, Miss World 1st Runner-up, was escorted by her Abohar-born mother Ekta, both came from America to know about Sachdeva's wellbeing. They thanked cardiologist Dr. Sahil Jindal for providing medical facilities at the right time. Dr. Jindal's wife Dr. Shikha Jindal, Gynaecologist, and Ekta's mother Vijay Laxmi Sachdeva were also present on the occasion.(SUBHEAD)
In an informal conversation, Shree Saini said that Abohar and Sriganganagar have a close relationship. Many families settled in both the cities have social ties. Sriganganagar once had a different identity due to the sand dunes, but after the construction of the Gang Canal by the grace of Maharaja Ganga Singh, a new history of prosperity was created here. Remarkable progress has also been made in education and medical services in Sriganganagar.
