UT ADVISER REVIEW VARIOUS PROJECTS PERTAINING TO LATE SARDAR BEANT SINGH MEMORIAL

A meeting to review the various projects pertaining to Late Shri Sardar Beant Singh Memorial, Sector-42 was held today under the Chairmanship of Dr. Dharam Pal, Adviser to the Administrator.

The Adviser had carried out the overall inspection of the existing available infrastructure and discussed the future required infrastructure in the complex.

The construction of auditorium having capacity of 1,000 persons and development of this campus on the basis of India International Centre was also discussed during the meeting.

In order to develop and have efficient utilization of space within the available resources, it was directed by the Adviser to get the feedback from the Chandigarh Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology and Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management, so that the best suggestions/feedbacks of these professional institutions can be implemented, if found feasible.

It was also decided that the existing available infrastructure like Auditorium, Committee Room, Multi-purpose Hall may be booked through on-line common booking portal already developed by the Chandigarh Administration.(SUBHEAD)

Chief Architect, U.T. was also directed to prepare a plan for the Auditorium and submit the same within a week’s time, so that the next meeting of the Executive Committee of the Society may be convened to decide the proposals to proceed further to complete the various proposed infrastructure in this complex.

Sh. Nitin Yadav, Home Secretary, Sh. Vinod Kanvle, Secretary Culture, Chief Engineer, Chief Architect & other officers of the Chandigarh Administration were also present.
