Former Deputy Chief Minister and Rajasthan Congress ex-president Sachin Pilot has said that the raids by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Raipur (Chhattisgarh) expose the nervousness of the Narendra Modi government.
(MOREPIC1)Speaking on the side-lines of a function, Pilot said the ED raids were a misuse of constitutional institutions. There is an attempt to create fear among the people and to suppress the Congress workers. Fearing the increasing strength, unity, and popularity of the Congress, the central government deliberately planned the raids, just 2 days before the Congress convention in Raipur. But the Center is not going to gain anything from this.(SUBHEAD)
He said that misuse of constitutional institutions in this way is highly condemnable. The whole country is watching how the central govt failed on every front. PM Modi has remembered Rajasthan because of the assembly elections to be held this year. That is why he came to Dausa to inaugurate the expressway.
Reacting to the AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s statement at Tonk against him, Sachin said that people like Modi and Owaisi come and give speeches in the election year. The public knows well who stands by them in their sorrows and happiness. As elections are to be held in Rajasthan, Modi and Owaisi now rememberthis state.
Regarding the three-day AICC session, Sachin said that he has given some suggestions to the high command, some of the same has been considered and action needs to be taken firmly to ensure Congress comes back to power in the Rajasthan assembly elections. It is upto the party High Command to decide on the suggestions given by him and implement. The Congress will have to enter with full force in the state elections to be held this year, he said.
