In the drive launched against illigal liquor and drugs, SAS Nagar Police got a major breakthrough when a team of Zirakpur Police under the supervision of Sh. Navreet Singh Virk, PPS SP(R), SAS Nagar and guidance of Sh. Bikramjit Singh Brar PPS, DSP Sub Division, Zirakpur, led by Insp. Deepinder Singh, SHO PS Zirakpur seized 200 illicit liquor cartons and also arrested the four accused, said Sh Sandeep Garg IPS, SSP, SAS Nagar.
Providing further details, the SSP said that acting on a tip off, the Zirakpur Police party today arrested four accused along with two vehicles on the spot when they intercepted a White Bolero Pickup with no DL 1 L AH 8870 that was transporting the liquor on guidance and directions of a Bolero car no HR 10 AJ 4333 near K-Area flyover, Zirakpur.
The two vehicles have been siezed as case property and an FIR no 66, Dated 24.02.2023 U/S 61,78(2) Excise Act has been registered on the accused identified as Harsh Sharma r/o village Rayi, District Sonipat, HR., Arun Kumar r/o Sakrara, PS Fatehabad, District Agra, UP, Neeraj r/o village Sivana, PS Gohana, District Sonipat, HR and Om Prakash r/o Palarha, PS Rayi, District Sonipat, HR.
