On Thursday, the police launched a special operation against bad elements and drug traffickers in the entire district.
SSP Avneet Kaur Sidhu herself led the drive in some colonies here. During this, various suspected persons and places were searched.
The district police also got many successes during the operation conducted under KASO operation.
SSP said that during the operation, 510 sedative pills, 250 liters of illicit liquor, 3 motorcycles were recovered and a fugitive was arrested. She said that the vigilance campaign of the police will continue to make the district free of drug trafficking, illegal distillation and other anti-social activities.
