A program was organized on the occasion of International Women's Day at village Danewala Satkosi by Jeevan Jyoti Social Work Department, Little Flower Religious and Charitable Society. Gynaecologist Dr. Gurleen Kaur participated as the chief guest; she was warmly welcomed.
Dr. Gurleen Kaur said on the occasion that International Women's Day is celebrated to encourage women. Today girls are no less than boys in any field. Be it doctors, engineers, civil services, girls are also playing an important role in the army and BSF also. From the President of the country to the top positions in political parties and large companies, women power is rendering services.
She said that the maximum number of women are posted as DC, ADC and SSP in border district Fazilka. Due to which every girl needs to come forward with inspiration. Each family should help the girls to stand in their footsteps by educating them so that they can write a new chapter in their life. A cultural program was also presented by the girls.
