Director General of Police, UT, Chandigarh Sh. Praveer Ranjan, IPS, took a round on the field and inspected the deployment of the force across the city on the occasion of the Holi festival on Wednesday.
DGP/UT along with Sh. R.K. Singh, IPS, IGP/UT, Ms. Manisha Chaudhary, IPS, SSP/Traffic & Security & UT, Ms. Shruti Arora, IPS, SP/City went through the Lake, PRB road, Market areas Sector 9, 10, 11, geri route and Student Centre Panjab University and they also checked the nakas and border areas too.
(MOREPIC1)(MOREPIC3) (SUBHEAD)Apart from this, DGP/UT greeted all police personnel on duty and distributed sweets among them. DGP/UT appreciated all the police personnel on duty and boost up their morale to keep all on high spirits.
More than 850 police officials were put up to check on hooliganism, eve-teasing, public place drinking and rash and dangerous driving on the occasion of celebritions on Holi. DGP/UT advised all police force to remain extra vigilant during this occasion.
