AWARENESS IS VITAL TO AVOID CYBERCRIME: BOTHRA

A five-day Value-Added Course on Cyber Law and Awareness, under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the Faculty of Law of Tantia University in Sriganganagar, was concluded. Chief guest, DSP Cybercrime, Sanjay Bothra said that awareness is very important to avoid cybercrime.

He explained through statistics and gave many examples that cybercrime is continuously increasing, in view of this awareness is necessary. He along with President of the University, Prof. MM Saxena also inaugurated the Digital Lecture Theatre.

(SUBHEAD)Pro. Saxena said there wasa need to stay away from carelessness, not to get greedy and avoid freebies. Dr. Rajendra Godara, director of IQAC, emphasised on awareness and campaign to close harmful sites. Dr. Saurabh Garg, Dean, Faculty of Law, Coordinator of the course, said that security is the only precaution to avoid cybercrime and this is the biggest weapon. Anamika Khurana welcomed DSP Bothra; Rajendra Singh thanked the audience. The organisers felicitated DSP Bothra with a shawl and memento.

In the five-day programme, legal experts from Sriganganagar, Churu, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Port Blair etc. gave detailed information through offline and online mode.
