The Khuiyansarwer police have seized 1000 intoxicating tablets that Manpreet Singh Manni Dharamkot and Paramjit Singh Pamma Mehatpur had smuggled from Sriganganagar.
SHO Baljit Singh Jatana said both the peddlers have been held. A case under Sections 22/61/85 of the NDPS Act was registered on the report of ASI Manjit Singh who had intercepted the suspects near Gumjal village on Abohar-Sriganganagar Road.
Notably, Khuiyansarwer police had earlier seized about 400-kg of poppy husk from a vehicle and had intensified checking on the highway to prevent smuggling of drugs etc from the neighbouring state.
