CHANDIGARH ADMIN REDUCED COW CESS FEE FROM FIVE TO RS. ONE PER BOTTLE

Administrator has approved the reduction of Cow Fee/ Cess under Excise policy for the year 2023-24 to be collected by the Excise Department and transferred to Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh for its utilization.

As per the decision Rs. 5/- per bottle of Country Liquor has been reduced to Rs 1/- of 750 ml which is to be sold in limits of Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh.

Rs. 10/- per bottle of Whisky has been reduced to Rs. 2/- per bottle of 750 ml/ 700 ml to be sold in limits of Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh

Rs. 5/- per bottle of Beer has been reduced to Rs 1/- per bottle of 650 ml to be sold in limits of Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh

The new rates of Cow Cess will be made applicable from 1.4.2023
