FIRE ARMS SUPPLIER ARRESTED WITH FIVE COUNTRY MADE PISTOLS AND EIGHT LIVE CARTRIDGES

A team of Insp Sunil Kumar and Insp Rajeev Kakkar of Central Range, Crime Branch, Delhi has arrested one illegal fire arms supplier namely Mohd. Sageer, 41 years, R/o Old Seelampur, Delhi with the recovery of 05 country made pistols and 08 live cartridges.

(MOREPIC1) A secret information was received by HC Mukesh kumar regarding one supplier of fire arms namely Mohd. Sageer R/o Old Seelampur, Delhi. The secret information was developed and a team comprising of ASI Umesh, HC Mukesh, and HC Gautam led by Insp Sunil and Insp Rajeev under the close supervision of ACP Rakesh Kumar Sharma, constituted by DCP Vichitra Veer and Joint CP S.D. Mishra to nab the criminal.

A raid was conducted in the area of Old Seelampur and accused Mohd. Sageer was arrested while he was planning to sell the illegal firearms and ammunitions. Five country made pistols and 08 live cartridges were recovered from his possession.Hence, a case FIR No. 74/2023, Dated 21.03.2023, u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act, PS Crime Branch, Delhi was registered against him.(SUBHEAD)

INTERROGATION:  Mr.Ravindra Singh Yadav, IPS, Special Commissioner of Police Crime,  said during interrogation, accused Mohd. Sageer disclosed that he used to obtain illegal firearms from one Mohd. Amir who used to get the firearms from Khurja, Uttar Pradesh. Accused Mohd. Sageer used to buy illegal fire arms of Rs. 5000 each and further the same were sold of Rs. 10000 each to unknown.

Further, it emerged that Mohd. Amir was connected with Prem Singh in Khurja, Uttar Pradesh. During the course of investigation, it is revealed that UP Police had arrested Prem Singh and sealed the illegal factory of manufacturing the illegal firearms. In this regard, a case FIR No. 1176/2022 u/s 5/25 Arms Act, dated 17.12.2022, PS Khurja Nagar, Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh was registered.

RECOVERY: Five country made pistols and 08 live cartridges.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED : Accused Mohd. Sageer R/o Old Seelampur, Delhi, is an illiterate who has never attended school. He is running a DHABA in the area of Old Seelampur, Delhi. He has been arrested for the first time.
