SEVEN TALENTS FROM GULLY CRICKET TOURNAMENT GOT ‘WILD CARD’ ENTRY IN UTCA DOMESTIC

After the successful conduct of Gully Cricket Tournament which concluded on April 23, UT Cricket Association (UTCA) shortlisted 35 outstanding players for further cricket trials held at Mahajan Cricket Ground, IT Park.

(MOREPIC3)The panel of selectors Vishwas Bhalla, Vijay Mathur and Praveen Sharma supervised the proceedings wherein players in full cricket kit provided by UTCA underwent the trials with leather balls. Those selected include Kuldeep Sonkar (U-19), Prince Yadav (U-19), Shubham Panchal (U-19), Prince (U-19), Maqsud (U-16), Mohd Shahban (U-19) and Mohd Zaid (U-16). 

UTCA President Sanjay Tandon informed that all the matches held in the 18-day street cricket tournament were closely monitored by the UTCA’s selectors and 35 players were shortlisted at the end of the tournament. He said that the selected seven players would get wild card entry in the UTCA domestic tournament starting in May.
