Cyber Criminal duped Chandigarh resident by on pretext of releasing his son. In this regard a case FIR No. 44, U/S 384, 420, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-Cyber Crime, Chandigarh on the complaint of Annand R/o # 683/A, Gali No. 11, Village Dariya, Chandigarh who reported that on 05.05.2023 he received whatsapp call from unknown person who introduced himself as police officer and further cheated Rs. 2,80,000/- on the pretext of releasing complainant’s son.
Investigation of the case is in progress.
