SHO SEEKING RS 40,000 BRIBE THROUGH TOUT IN ACB NET

Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau has caught a tout allegedly in the act of accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000 on behalf of an Inspector posted as SHO at the Badhaguda Police Station in Sirsa district.

Sharing the information hereon Wednesday, a spokesperson of the Bureau informed that tout was identified as Sukhraj alias Raja, while the SHO was identified as Kashi Ram.

Sukhraj was arrested on the complaint of Rajkumar, a resident of district Sirsa. He has taken the bribe from the complainant in lieu of not implicating him in a case.

(SUBHEAD)The complainant has approached the ACB and alleged that the SHO of Badhaguda Police Station Inspector Kashi Ram has demanded a bribe of Rs 40,000 through tout in lieu of not implicating him in a case already registered under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act at Badhaguda Police Station.

The spokesperson informed that after verifying the facts, a team of ACB has laid a trap and the accused tout Sukhraj has been arrested red-handed while taking Rs 40,000 as a bribe from the complainant in the presence of independent witnesses.

In this regard, a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against both accused at ACB police station Hisar. Further investigation, in this case, was under progress.
