Police has achieved a major achievement by arresting one person who involved in drug peddling. On Wednesday , a team of Police Station-31, Chandigarh under the close supervision of SHO Ram Rattan Sharma, PS-31 headed by ASI Surjit Singh along with police party apprehending one drug paddler namely Ritik @ Lallu S/o Late Rishipal R/o H. No. 1331, Phase-I, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh age 20 yrs.
Police said on 14.06.2023 Police party was on patrolling/Naka duty in the area of Police Station-31, Chandigarh with regard to prevention and control of crime near BSNL Turn, Industrial Area, Phase-II, Chandigarh. They saw a person was coming from Industrial Area, Phase-II towards the BNSL Turn.
(SUBHEADOn seeing the police party he swiftly tried to turn back. On the basis of suspicion he was apprehended with the help of police officials, he disclosed his name as Ritik @ Lallu and on search 10.10 gms Heroine was recovered from his possession. Consequently, a case FIR No. 90 dated 14.06.2023 U/S 21 NDPS Act, PS-31, Chandigarh was registered against him.
PREVIOUS RECORD: Accused Ritik @ Lallu has tainted past and has been arrested previously in Case FIR No. 146 dated 10.10.2021 u/s 353, 427, 34 IPC, police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh and in Case FIR No. 190 dated 15.11.2022 u/s 61/1/14 Excise Act, Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh.
Today, i.e. 15.06.203, accused Ritik @ Lallu produced before the Hon’ble District Court and his 1 day police remand was obtained. The investigation of this case is being under process.
