Police achieved a major success by arresting one milk man in drug peddler namely Manjit Singh @ Manna S/o Sh. Randhir Singh R/o # 2103, Pipli Wala Town, Manimajra, Chandigarh, age 29 years and recovered 50.17 Grams Heroin/Chitta and 8 BUPRENORPHINE & 8 Pheniramine Maleate injections from his possession. In this regard, case FIR No. 60 dated 20.06.2023 u/s 21 & 22 NDPS Act PS-MM Chandigarh has been registered against him.
Keeping in view the present scenario and prevention and detection of criminal activities occurred in the City, a team of District Crime Cell under the supervision of Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, W/SSP/UT and close guidance of Sh. Vikas Sheokand, DANIPS, DSP/DCC and Inspector Jasminder Singh, I/C DCC succeeded in arresting the drug paddler.
On 20.06.2023, a team of District Crime Cell, Sector-24, Chandigarh, were on patrolling, near Fire Station Manimajra, Chandigarh for prevention and detection of Crime. During patrolling, they seeing a motorcyclist came towards patrolling party, and on seeing police officials he trying to take u-turn. In the meantime while taking u-turn motorcyclist fell down. On this Police officials by showing their efficiency managed to catch the suspected motorcyclist.
On suspicion, during checking 50.17 Grams HEROIN/CHITTA and 8 BUPRENORPHINE & 8 PHENIRAMINE MALEATE injections was found and recovered from his possession. On asking the motorcyclist disclosed his name Manjit Singh @ Manna S/o Sh. Randhir Singh R/o # 2103, Pipli Wala Town, Manimajra, Chandigarh, age 29 years.
The motorcyclist was appr ehended and arrested in case FIR No. 60 dated 20.06.2023 u/s 21 & 22 NDPS Act PS-MM Chandigarh.
During his detailed interrogation it came to light that he alongwith his brother running a business of milk dairy in Shastri Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh. They have 30/35 Desi Cows in their dairy. Manjit singh @ Manna used to supply milk in various sectors of Chandigarh, Panchkula. He used to supply drugs/injections in guise of milkman. He involved in drugs paddler activity from last 9/10 months and earned rupees 2/3 lakhs monthly. On the directions of Senior Officers his hotspot is being marked to take further coercive action.
RECOVERY: 50.17 GRAMS HEROIN/CHITTA., 8 BUPRENORPHINE & 8 PHENIRAMINE MALEATE INJECTIONS
PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENT: After going through the criminal record of accused Manjit Singh @ Manna, one case found registered against him under NDPS Act, this case was registered by District Crime Cell.

In another case Chandigarh Police achieved a major success by arresting one drug peddler namely Satwinder Singh @ Sunny S/o Lt. Sh. Ravinder Singh R/o# Flat No P1, 2nd Floor, Emerging Height II, Peer Muchalla, Zirakpur(PB), Age-35 Yrs. and recovered 21.68 Grams Heroin/Chitta from his possession.
In this regard, case FIR No. 42 dated 17.06.2023 u/s 21 NDPS Act PS-49 Chandigarh has been registered against him. Keeping in view the present scenario and prevention and detection of criminal activities occurred in the City, a team of District Crime Cell under the supervision of Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, W/SSP/UT and close guidance of Sh. Vikas Sheokand, DANIPS, DSP/DCC and Inspector Jasminder Singh, I/C DCC succeeded in arresting the drug paddler.
On 17.06.2023, a team of District Crime Cell, Sector-24, Chandigarh, laid a naka near Govt. Dispensary (Health & Wellness Centre) Sector-49, Chandigarh for prevention and detection of Crime. During naka, they stopped a white Scorpio Car for checking but the driver trying to flee from the naka. Police officials present on naka by sho wing their efficiency managed to stop the car.
On suspicion, during checking 21.68 grams Heroin/Chitta was found and recovered from his possession. On asking the driver disclosed his name as Satwinder Singh @ Sunny S/o Lt. Sh. Ravinder Singh R/o Flat No P1, 2 nd Floor, Emerging Height-II, Peer Muchalla, Zirakpur(PB), Age-35 Years. The driver was apprehended and arrested in case FIR No. 42 dated 17.06.2023 u/s 21 NDPS Act PS-49 Chandigarh.
