HARYANA CHIEF SECRETARY EMPHASIZES PROPER DOCUMENTATION IN GOVERNMENT OFFICES

Read in:English

Chandigarh, June 20: The Haryana Chief Secretary has issued instructions stating that officers should write their full names in brackets beneath their signature on files. Additionally, the Assistant/Dealing-hand should affix their full signature with their name in brackets and include the complete date (dd/mm/yy) on the left-hand side of the note.

It has been observed that some officers/officials are not complying with these instructions. They are using abbreviated signatures on notings/correspondence and omitting to mention their names in brackets while submitting files to higher authorities. Therefore, it is essential to ensure strict adherence to the government's instructions in both letter and spirit. Non-compliance of these instructions will result in disciplinary proceedings being initiated against the individuals concerned.
