10 DAYS NCC CAMP FOR THE 466 CADETS BEGINS

The Combined Annual Training Camp-154 is being organised from 21-30 Jun 2023 at PGGC-Sector 11, Chandigarh for 466 NCC Cadets from various colleges and schools. 2nd Chd Bn NCC Chandigarh organised the camp to introduce the cadets to a regimented way of life towards developing comradeship, teamwork, leadership qualities, self-confidence and self-reliance.

On the opening day of the camp, the cadets participated in a Yoga session to mark International Yoga Day. The Yoga Instructors Ms Malika and Mr Lovekush of Government College Of Yoga Education And Health- Sector 23 apprised the cadets and youth about the benefits of the Yoga and made them practice of various yogasanas and yoga-kriyas.

On the occassion, Camp Commandant Colonel Paramjit Singh elaborated about the benefits of yoga and how one can gain inner strength from Yoga to succeed in all spheres of life. He said that the aim of the 10-days camp is to expose the cadets to the practical aspects of the camp life. During the camp, the cadets will undergo various activities, including Drills, Weapon training, firing, Map reading, Field Craft & Battle Craft, Tent pitching , Social Service, Firefighting etc.
