CSIR-CSIO INAUGURATES ONE WEEK ONE LAB CAMPAIGN 2023

CSIR-CSIO Chandigarh is proud to announce the inauguration of the One Week One Lab Campaign, a significant milestone in scientific exploration and innovation. The event, set to take place on June 24, 2023, will be graced by Dr. N Kalaiselvi, Director General of CSIR, who will lead the inauguration ceremony.

The highlight of the event will be the foundation stone laying ceremony for the Centre for Nano-Optics Fabrication (cNOF), a dedicated state-of-the-art facility. Dr. N Kalaiselvi will ceremoniously lay the foundation stone, marking the beginning of a groundbreaking endeavor that will revolutionize the field of micro-nano-optics research in India.

The establishment of the cNOF demonstrates CSIR-CSIO's commitment to spearheading futuristic photonics research and catering to the emerging photonics industries.

In addition, the event will witness the inauguration of several other significant facilities by Dr. N Kalaiselvi. The foundation stone for a 100-room hostel, will be laid in the presence of the Joint Secretary of CSIR. This hostel facility will provide essential residential accommodation for JRF/SRF and Research Associates.(SUBHEAD)

Furthermore, Dr. N Kalaiselvi will dedicate a composting facility, showcasing CSIR-CSIO's commitment to environmental sustainability. This initiative reflects the organization's dedication to responsible waste management practices and reducing its ecological footprint.

During the event, the Director General will also inaugurate the state-of-the-art Information Services Division, which boasts upgraded infrastructure and enhanced security measures. This centralized building will provide an efficient and secure space for information dissemination and knowledge sharing.

Additionally, CSIR-CSIO will unveil the newly established CSIO Analytical facilities, a centralized facility known as CAF. This facility will offer scientific solutions to various government departments, universities, and research and development organizations, fostering collaboration and scientific advancement.

The inauguration of these state-of-the-art facilities marks a momentous occasion for CSIR-CSIO and the scientific community at large. The organization is poised to lead the way in cutting-edge research and development, enabling groundbreaking discoveries and advancements in various fields.

The One-Week-One-Lab campaign promises to be an extraordinary celebration of scientific brilliance and technological innovation. Over the course of the week (June 26-30, 2023), CSIR-CSIO will continue to host a series of events, workshops, and interactive sessions, bringing together experts from various fields to exchange ideas and explore new frontiers of science.
