About a century-old Shri Radhakrishna Mandir, located in Street No. 1-C, has been renovated. Maha Mandaleshwar Swami Hariharanand on Monday performed the inauguration ceremony at a well-attended function after the Pran Pratishtha ceremony.
He appreciated the managing committee for honouring masons and laborers which, he said, is a very commendable tradition. Swami ji said that along with the construction of new temples in the country, there is an urgent need for rejuvenation of hundreds of years old and ancient temples.
A Havan Yagna was performed in which all the people offered ahutis for the welfare and global peace. The idols were consecrated by chanting Vedic mantras. Despite of inclement weather hundreds of devotees including Chairman Rajeev Khanna, President Pramil Kalani, General Secretary Pradeep Bansal, Treasurer Naveen Mundra, Project Incharge Sunil Kalani, Naresh Khurana, Pradeep Periwal, Jagat Periwal participated in the programme with enthusiasm.
Presiding over today's program, Bimla Devi Kalani (wife of veteran social activists late Banshidhar Kalani) announced to donate Rs two lakh for the construction of the remaining part of the temple.
