The Engineering Department of Chandigarh Administration executed a large-scale anti-encroachment drive today in Sector 52 Kajheri, targeting unauthorized occupation on government land. The drive focused on the removal of various illegal constructions, including three permanent structures, eight temporary jhuggis, two car service stations, and a cattle shed.

The demolition was carried out with the full support of the enforcement team from the Estate Office, under the guidance of Sh. Suresh Kumar, Naib Tehsildar, and in the presence of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (South), along with a substantial police force.

(SUBHEAD)This decisive action has resulted in the reclamation of approximately 2.0 acres of land, effectively freeing it from encroachment. The Chandigarh Administration remains committed to its promise of making Chandigarh a city free from encroachments, and further demolition drives will be conducted in the near future to remove unauthorized constructions on government land.

The anti-encroachment drive serves as a strong message that the Chandigarh Administration is dedicated to preserving the integrity of government land and ensuring the planned development of the city. This proactive step underscores the administration's efforts to maintain a clean and organized urban environment for the benefit of its residents.
