TiE Chandigarh organized the 20th Annual General Meeting and Chapter Awards at JW Marriott Chandigarh. Chapter Awards were also given on this occasion to recognise the work done by entrepreneurs during the year.
(MOREPIC1) TiE Young Entrepreneurs Team from Learning Paths School won the Award for the Best Business Model at the TiE Young Entrepreneurs Global Pitch Competition. It is worth mentioning that TiE Chandigarh has won the TiE Global Award for Best Support to Youth Entrepreneurs.
Guest of Honour of the programme was BJ Arun, who is the Past Chair & Present Trustee of the TiE Global, while the guest speaker was Alok Bansal, Co Founder and Executive Vice Chairman of PB Fintech.
Robin Aggarwal, President TiE Chandigarh 2022-23 and Director Learning Paths School, highlighted the achievements and thanked the current Executive Council, including Harit Mohan, Vice President; Satish Kumar Arora, Treasurer; and Gaurav Vasishta, General Secretary of the TIE Chandigarh. Aggarwal announced that Harit Mohan would be the incoming president.(SUBHEAD)
Alok Bansal, the Executive Vice Chairman, PB Fintech Limited (that owns India’s leading insurtech brand Policybazaar.com and leading lending marketplace Paisabazaar.com), leads the inorganic growth and investment opportunities for the company along with Investor Relations. He says that the success of any business lies in working with a team with different mindsets, allowing them the flexibility and freedom to experiment, innovate and contribute.”
BJ Arun was most recently the CEO of July Systems, a leader in location-based, digital customer acquisition and multi-channel engagement platform. July was acquired by Cisco Systems at the end of 2018. Arun also co-founded and was formerly CEO of California Digital a market leader in the space of Linux based High Performance Computing. Under his leadership, California Digital deployed North America and Europe’s fastest Supercomputer ‘Thunder’ at the Lawrence Livermore National Labs in 2004.
Arun was most recently Chairman of TiE Global Board of Trustees, a not-for- profit global network of entrepreneurs and professionals. TiE is dedicated to the advancement of entrepreneurship and has 57 chapters spanning 14 countries. Arun continues to serve as a Trustee on the TiE board.
