Six PO/absconders were nabbed by the PO & Summon taff in a single day from different states of the Country (three rape POCSO cases, one Excise Act, One Gambling Act and one Cheating Case.). Including one Po wanted in heinous crime (Rape Case) by the Himachal Police (was nabbed from mohali airport after waiting for his fight to land), said UT SSP Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS on Friday.
One PO involved in 19 years old case of Excise Act, in Police net, One PO involved in 9 Years old case.
In a major breakthrough, PO & Summon staf of Chandigarh Police under the directions of SSP U.T. Chandigarh, in the supervision of Sh. Vikas Sheokand, Dy. SP DCC and team headed by Sh. Hari Om Sharma, Inspector/Incharge PO & Summon staf is able to arrest six absconders including one PO involved in 19 years old case of Excise Act and one accused wanted in heinous crime by the Himachal Police.
Arrest of Accused/Proclaimed Offender: – With the help of collection of information from diferent sources (technical & human) and a day/night search. The absconder /proclaimed ofenders have been arrested with secret information of informer and all the sincere eforts made by ASI Balwinder Singh 1728/CP, ASI Mohd Aslam 2938/CP, ASI Rajpal 3170/CP, ASI Dinesh Kumar 3305/CP, ASI Birbhan Sharma 3334/CP, HC Sharanjeet Singh 708/CP, HC Ashok 1179/CP, HC Malkit Singh 3590/CP, Sr.C Hardeep Singh 2506/CP, Sr.C. Sandeep 3617/CP, Sr.C. Rakesh Kumar 1308/CP, C. Sanjay Kumar 3735/CP, C. Amit Antil 4863/CP, C. Sombir 4913/CP, C. Vakil Singh 4933/CP, C. Parveen Kumar 3875/CP, L/C Manpreet Kaur 4546/CP, Vol Jang Singh 415/CHG.

One state case accused namely Surinder Singh S/o Baldev Singh R/o Vill- Pargour, PO- Harchakian, The- Shahpur, Distt-Kangra, HP, accused has been detained from Saheed Bhagat Singh International Airport in case FIR No. 73 dated 24.07.2023 U/s 376, 377, IPC and 67 IT Act PS Shahpur Distt Kangra HP as wanted by the Himachal Police in Heinous crime and on Friday handed over to Himachal Police.
The state case PO namely Satish S/o Zile Singh R/o VPO Paksama, Rohtak, Haryana has been arrested from Rohtak, Haryana in case FIR No 294 Dated 10.12.2014 U/s 408, 411, 473 IPC, PS 26 Chandigarh. The case was registered on the complaint of Pawan Kumar Sharma who stated that I was doing the transport work and the day of incident I loaded apple boxes in my truck and handed over to the driver and his phone is switched of after crossing Rewari, Driver ran away with my truck. Later the case was registered against him and he got absent and declared PO by the court of Ms. Baljinder Pal Singh, JMIC, Chandigarh on 11.12.2017. The accused produced before the Hon’ble Court.
The state case PO namely Harish Khurana S/o Subhash Khurana R/o # 884, Vishwkarma Colony, Jind, Haryana has been arrested from Jind, Haryana in case FIR No 361 dated 31.07.2004, U/s 61-1-14 Excise Act, PS-17, Chandigarh. The case was registered on the complaint of HC Ranbir Singh 1855/CP
who stated that he alongwith other police ofcials was patrolling at ISBT Sector 17, Chandigarh. He notice a person coming dragging two bags near counter No.6 at ISBT 17, Chandigarh.
On asking he could not give satisfactory answer. After inspection six liquor petti found in each bag. Later the case was registered against accused, who got absent before the court and declared PO by the court of Ms. Kanchan Mahi, CJM, Chandigarh vide order dated 05.12.2008. The accused produced before the Hon’ble Court and sent to judicial custody. One more Excise Act case was also registered against him, in case FIR No. 379 Dated 14.08.2004 PS-17 Chandigarh. For the last one month a dedicated team of PO Staff was searching him day & night and fnally today they got success to nab this Proclaimed offender.
The state case PO namely Javahar lal S/o Khusi Ram R/o # 300, Village-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, has been arrested from Railway Station, Chandigarh in case FIR No 307 dated 13.10.2018, U/s 13- 3-67 Gambling Act, PS-Industrial Area, Chandigarh. The case was registered on the complaint of HC Mangat Singh 3037/CP who stated that he alongwith other police ofcials was present at Village Dariya when information received through an informer that person namely Tinku and Jwahar Lal were gambling at public place near Citco Yard, main road, village Dariya, Chandigarh.
On reaching the spot two hindu gentleman were found playing gambling. On asking one told his name Samir@ Tinku S/o Arjun R/o Village Dariya and other boy told his name Javahar S/o Khusi Ram R/o # 300, Village Mauli agran. Total Rs. 8300/- and playing cards were recovered from them. Later the case
was registered against accused, and accused namely Jawahar Lal got absent before the court and declared PO by the Hon’ble court of Dr. Aman Inder Singh, CJM, Chandigarh vide order dated 29.11.2022. The accused produced before the Hon’ble Court and sent to judicial custody.
In another case a warrant of arrest executed with arrest of accused namely Jaspreet Singh @ Jashu S/o Raju Singh R/o Village Behman Dwana, District Bathinda, Punjab. He was involved in case FIR No. 138/2021, U/s 363, 366, 376(2), POCSO Act, PS Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. The accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court of Ms. Swati Sehgal, ADJ, Chandigarh.
Another PO namely Anuj Garg S/o Sajjan Kumar R/o # 314, Sector-9, Panchkula, Haryana has been arrested in case registered U/s 138 NI Act. He was declared PO in by the Hon’ble Court of Ms. Gurdeep Kaur, JMIC, Chandigarh vide order dated 11.05.2023. The accused produced before the Hon’ble concerned court.
