The teams of Mauli Jagran Police Station achieved success in arresting two accused persons in separate cases. 1. During the patrolling duty SI Avtar Singh along with police officials observedanindividual exhibiting suspicious behavior. Acting on this suspicion, police team promptly apprehended the individual namely Angrej Singh S/O Teja Singh, Village Charewahan, Muktsar, PB.
After the apprehension a search was conducted, leading to the recovery of 21.60 gram of heroin without any license or permit. Subsequently, a case FIR 99 dated 15.08.2023 U/S 21 NDPS Act hasbeenregistered against accused.
In order to ascertain the veracity of procuringthecontraband, 02 days police remand is obtained from Hon’ble court. Investigationis going on. 2
In another case on 15.08.2023, while patrolling duty ASI Amarjeet Singh apprehendedaccusednamely Sanjay S/o Amar R/o EWS Colony Part -2 Sunder Colony Mauli JagranChd Age-40 Years, carrying 50 quarters of Desi Sharaab Marka Jamila Santra180ML each without any valid license of permit. Subsequently, a case FIR No. 98 dated 15.08.2023 U/S 61/1/14 Excise act has been registered against accused. As per record, accused Sanjay found involved in two other cases of Excise Act.
