UTCA MEN'S U-19 ODI: ADHIRAJ'S KNOCK HELPS TERRACE ZONE FOR A CONVINCING WIN OVER BIRD ZONE

UTCA GIRLS U- 19 T20 LEAGUE: PLAZA ZONE AND LEISURE ZONE WON THE LEAGUE MATCHES

Adhiraj scored an unbeaten 67 to help Terrace Zone for a resounding seven-wicket win over Bird Zone in a UTCA Mena’s ODI league match being played at Baba Balak Nath Cricket Academy, Kaimbala on Wednesday. Bird Zone while batting first was bundled out for 152 runs in the 37th over wherein Harshul (70) was the top scorer in the innings. In reply, Terrace Zone surpassed the given target in the 28th over at the loss of three wickets.

In another match played at the Cricket Institute of Cricket, Plaza Zone registered a six-wicket win over Rose Zone. Defeating team was all out for 95 runs in the 34th over. Chirag Makkar (23) had the highest score. In reply, Plaza Zone won the match by losing four wickets in the 20th over.

(SUBHEAD)In the third match of the day, Sukhna Zone beat Rock Zone by 20 runs. Batting first, Sukhna Zone was all out for 207 runs with the vital contribution from Tanmay Latka (49). In reply, the half-centuries of Rock Zone's Devang Kaushik (64) and Sagiv Garg (56) went in vain as team collapsed for 187 runs.

Meanwhile, Under 19 Girls T20 matches continued at GNPS, Sector 36. Plaza Zone registered a thrilling four runs win over Rose Zone. Plaza Zone scored 90/2 runs with a magnificent knock Sarah Mahajan (49). In reply, Rose Zone was restricted to 86/8. Deepti Walia (18) was the highest scorer for the side.

In the second match of the day, Leisure Zone defeated Rock Zone by 38 runs. Leisure Zone scored 119/5 with the help of a half-century from Parushi Prabhakar (50). In reply, Rock Zone managed 81/9 runs against the lethal bowling attack led by Shivali Rathod (4/8)
