THREE PO ABSCONDERS INCLUDING ONE PO INVOLVED IN 17 YEAR OLD DOWRY CASE.

In a major breakthrough, PO & Summon staff of Chandigarh Police under the directions of SSP U.T. Chandigarh, in the supervision of Sh. Dilsher Singh, Dy. SP DCC and team headed by Sh. Hari Om Sharma, Inspector/Incharge PO & Summon staff is able to arrest three proclaimed offenders/absconders.

With the help of collection of information from different sources (technical & human) and a day/night search. The absconders /proclaimed offenders have been arrested with secret information of informer and all the sincere efforts made by ASI Karanjeet Singh 839/CP, ASI Rajpal 3170/CP, HC Ashok Kumar 1179/CP, Sr.C. Hardeep Singh 2506/CP, C. Amit Kumar 4863/CP, C. Anuj Kumar 4665/CP, L/C Sonia 4527/CP. The Master Technical & Monitoring Cell of Chandigarh Police provided continuous assistance to locate the accused and helped the police officials of PO & Summon Staff:

(SUBHEAD)The state case accused namely Dilshad S/o Abdulla R/o Village Ambetha, PS Jhinjhana, District Muzaffarnagar now Shamli, Uttar Pardesh has been arrested from Ambeta, District Shamli, Uttar Pardesh, Haryana, in case FIR No. 170 dated 04.04.2006, U/s 406, 498-A IPC, PS Manimajra, Chandigarh. The case was registered on the complaint of Sonia D/o Jahid Hussan R/o Tubewell No. 5, Manimajra Town, Shanti Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh, who reported that she was married to Dilshad S/o Abdulla on 14.10.2004 at Chandigarh.

After eight months of marriage her husband started harassing and beating her with iron rod as he was compelling her to bring money from her father. Later the case was registered against accused, but he was not arrested in the case. He was declared PO by the Hon’ble Court of Sh. S.K. Singla, JMIC, Chandigarh, vide order dated 13.09.2006. A dedicated team of PO Staff was chasing the accused for the three months. The proclaimed offender was continuously changing his locations. The team raided at his various suspected hide outs in Chandigarh and Uttar Pardesh. Finally after uphill struggle the accused was arrested and produced before the Hon’ble Court.

The state case accused namely Ankit Chandan S/o Anil Chandan R/o # 2586, Sector 22, Chandigarh has been arrested from Sector-22, Chandigarh , in case FIR No. 376 dated 09.12.2018, U/s 380, 411 IPC, PS 17, Chandigarh. The case was registered on the complaint of Rajat Kumar S/o Janam Singh R/o # 701, Sector-22-A, Chandigarh who stated that he is residing at this address as tenant. On the day of incident his laptop got stolen from his room when he went downstairs for taking his food. Later the case was registered against accused. During court proceeding the accused got absent before the Hon’ble Court and he was declared PO by the Hon’ble Court of Dr. Aman Inder Singh, CJM, Chandigarh, vide order dated 04.03.2023.

One Conditional Warrant U/s 125 CrPC in MNT 125/340/2021 has been executed with arrest of accused namely Shivam S/o Mani Kant R/o # J 206, Mona Green-2, Society, Gazipur Road, Zirakpur, Mohali. The Conditional Warrant was issued by the Hon’ble Court of Sh. Chetesh Gupta, JMIC, Chandigarh. The accused was produced before the Hon’ble concerned court.
