Teachers Day was celebrated on Saturday by Ashaye, unit working in the field of education of Gopal Murthi Foundation. On Teachers' Day, 10 teachers who worked out of the box in the field of education were honored. The Eminent Teacher Award function was organized at the auditorium of Polytechnic College, Sector 26. Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula Sushil Sarwan was the chief guest. Maha Singh Sindhu, Principal, DIET was the guest of honor and Paras Parashar, Co-ordinator, Ashtavakra presided over the function.

Ashok Kumar of Government Middle School-Budhanpur, Meenakshi of Government High School, Sector 26, Priya of Government Model School, Sector 26, Rahul Jangra of Polytechnic College, Arvindra Kumar were honored for their special contribution in the field of education.

He said that while working as DC in Panchkula, his special focus would be on education and health. Foundation convenor Puneet Bedi welcomed all the guests.

Foundation President Priyanka Punia thanked everyone at the end of the program. Foundation's founder Sarika Tiwari told about the purpose of the organization and the work done in the social sector in the past. Welcome song and dance program on patriotic song was presented by Government Middle School, Fatehpur.
