UT Cricket Association (UTCA) received Aqua Soakers in the third consignment given by BCCI for its home ground, Sector 16 Cricket Stadium on Friday.

This machine, which is costing around nearly 14 lakhs, will prove to be extremely beneficial in conducting matches at venues. This moving machine will help in the early start of the match to absorb rain water and heavy dew water during winters.

In the last seasons, the Chandigarh team had to suffer a lot due to bad weather, which will now provide huge relief to the players, ground staff and organizers. On the occasion, UTCA President Sanjay Tandon expressed his gratitude to the BCCI and said that their efforts will be very beneficial in providing a new dimension to cricket in the city.
