Chandigarh-born Dr. Deep Singh,well known Sikh Personality, promoter of traditional games and EHS Professional honored by Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.
The award was mainly for Singh's devotion and commitment for the Community Services, also covering conserving and promoting Traditional or indigenous Games.
(SUBHEAD)Dr. Deep Singh has been pro actively participating and organizing different community programs to bring different communities together throughout the US.
Born and brought up in City Beautiful Chandigarh, India Dr. Singh is also Secretary-General of the World Gatka Federation (WGF)-an Apex International organization to preserve, promote and popularize Gatka-Sikh Martial Art, also known as ancient martial art of India, an Interfaith leader who is currently working as EHS Professional in New York, US has been honored with The President’s Lifetime Achievement Award 2023 by President of the United States.
Singh has been volunteering with United Sikhs which is a U.N. affiliated, International, non-profit, non-governmental, humanitarian relief, education, human development and advocacy organization that aims to empower those in need, especially disadvantaged and minority communities around the world.
Apart from it, he also volunteers with community police and has been actively participating & ready to volunteer in blood and food drives when there is utmost need by the community.
Dr. Deep Singh is a well known Gatka-Sikh Martial Art instructor. He has been teaching and promoting this form of art which holds deep cultural and historical significance.” I am helping young kids to tackle bullying in the educational institutes and teaching the young generation a value of discipline, self defense and spirituality despite modern challenges of cultural preservation and keeping traditions alive.” says Deep Singh.
