UT GIRLS BOUNCED BACK IN T20 INVITATIONAL CUP WITH SIX RUN WIN OVER ODISHA

UT girls bounced back in the Chhattisgarh Women's T20 Cup Invitational Tournament in their second encounter with a six run defeat to Odisha being played in Raipur ( Chhattisgarh) Kashvee Gautam led Chandigarh faced an embarrassing defeat against Goa by nine wickets in their first match.Man of the match Shivi Pandey (53) put up a strong foundation for Chandigarh. 

Earlier, Odisha won the toss and invited Chandigarh to bat. Openers Shivi Pandey and Monika Pandey gave a solid start. Chandigarh lost its first wicket in the form of Monika (30) in the ninth over. Later, Aradhana Bisht (11) and Kashvee Gautam (17) were also dismissed cheaply. But Shivi continued to score and completed her half century. She got out for 53 runs with eight boundaries in her credit. UT girls piled up 131 /4 in stipulated 20 overs. Priyanka Sahu (2/18) took two wickets.

In reply, Odisha also got off to a fabulous start with Madhuri and Tanmayee adding 66 runs for the first wicket. After the dismissal of Tanmayee (36) and Madhuri (30), team middle – Sangeeta (29), Ms. (23) and Priyanka (3) order collapsed against Kumari Shibbi (3/24). Chandigarh managed to restrict Odisha at 125/6. Parul (2/14) took two wickets.

Chandigarh's next match is against Chhattisgarh Reds on Thursday. 

UTCA U19 ODI: Leisure Zone defeated Rose Zone by five wickets.

Leisure Zone defeated Rose Zone by five wickets in the UTCA Under 19 Women's ODI Tournament being played at Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36. Batting first, Rose Zone were all out for 72 runs wheein Ganika Bansal (22) was top scorer. Shivali Rathore took four wickets. In reply, Leisure surpassed the target in the 24th over at the loss of five wickets. Unbeaten Kajal scored 20 runs while Lavanya took three wickets from the opposition side.
