Director General of Police,Haryana Shri Shatrujeet Kapur said that it is the collective responsibility of all of us to avoid glamorizing crime and criminals. This will help prevent the youth from being attracted to crime and break the chain of organized crime.

Shatrujit Kapur said this today while addressing a press conference organized at Hisar district. He said that along with maintaining law and order, the police department's priorities include women's safety, drug abuse, and cybercrime. The general public also plays an important role in addressing these issues.

(SUBHEAD)He called upon media persons not to glorify criminals in their news. He explained that when a criminal's name is mentioned in the news, they might perceive it as fame, and people may start regarding them as heroes.

In response to a question, he said that to eradicate drug addiction, the police are trying to break its supply chain. For this, it is very important to have a strong information system. He said that drug sellers, hostel watchmen, and village guards are being made aware so that they can keep an eye on those selling and buying drugs in their area and immediately inform the police.

The government is amending the CrPC to make crime investigations more humane and scientific. The police department is currently recruiting 4,000 constables. The department's workforce is being increased through recruitment from time to time.

While presiding over a meeting of police officers and employees, he mentioned the department's priorities and said that we all have to work together in one direction to achieve good results. He said that every person has their own unique abilities, so we should recognize these abilities and work with clear intentions.

We should divide our work into two categories: important and time-sensitive. For urgent work, we need to act quickly, while important work such as training and capacity building helps the department move forward. Apart from this, officers must delegate their work but must discharge their responsibilities with complete honesty. He said that 99.9% of people in society are law-abiding, but the police personnel have to instill fear of law in the minds of 1% anti-social elements. Success is achieved only by those who have clear information about their work. Policemen should come on time and do their work on time.

He said that now people who indulge in bullying will be dealt with strictly. We have to make transport and other hotspot areas safe for girls. He clearly said that strict steps will be taken to deal with people who stand in groups of 4-5 people and comment on women. Parents of such people will be talked to and action will be taken as per rules.

In the meeting, the Director General of Police honored 10 policemen of Hisar Range. On this occasion, Hisar Range ADGP Mr Shrikant Jadhav and others of the department. Officers were present.
