The Jakhar Trust (TJT) will organizea “Run against Drugs” marathon on 15th October, Sunday as a part of its drug awareness campaign.
MLA Sandeep Jakhar said that in view of the overwhelming response to the 3rd marathon, the 4thmarathon will be held on October 15.
He launched the T-shirt of the event at Subhash Nagar house today. Two types of categories have been fixed, in which there will be a race of five km and ten km. The winners will be awarded cash prizes of approximately Rs 3 lakh.
Registration fee for the participants will be Rs 100 only. Medal, refreshments and T-shirt will be gifted by the Trust to all the participants. Athletes from all over India can participate in the 10-km marathon while in the 5-km marathon the participants only from district Fazilka will be allowed. Registration has been started, people of the area are appealed to participate enthusiastically, he said.
