DR.LAKHWINDER DIES IN ACCIDENT , ACCUSED ARRESTED UNDER SECTION 304A

On 11.09.2023 information regarding an accident case near Sector 16/17 Light point was received in Control Room at 07:26 AM. The PCR vehicle rushed the injured to the hospital. Subsequently, FIR No. 156 Dated 11.09.2023 U/s 279, 337 IPC was registered on the statement of Sri Satyajit, Kundra who had stated that at about 07:15 AM, he and his friend namely Dr. Lakhwinder were cycling and that when they reached near lights points of Sector-16/17, an A uto bearing registration number HR68C2955 came from backside and hit both of them due to which they both fell down and sustained injuries.

During treatment, Dr Lakhwinder unfortunately expired. Accordingly, section-304/A IPC had been added in the case.

During Investigation, accused driver of auto, Sonu (22) R/o MDC, Panchkula had been arrested. During further investigation and from evidences including CCTV footage, it has come on record that it is an offence of culpable homicide, not amounting to murder, and accordingly Section 304 IPC has been added. Further investigation is going on.
