The Counter Intelligence Unit of Special Cell, led by Inspector Nishant Dahiya, under the supervision of ACP Rahul Vikram,has succeeded in arresting a highly desperate, wanted criminalnamely Harjeet Singh @ Harry Maur @ Chota Harry, running wanted in multiple murders committed in Punjab and Haryana.
He along with close associate Harry Rajpura (already arrested by the team on 7th Sept 2023) has been the most trustworthy operative of foreign based gangster turned terrorists namely Sukha Duneke, Arsh Dalla, Lakhbir Singh @ Landa and Harvinder Singh @ Rinda. Together, these above mentioned four foreign based gangsters constitute a terror-gangster syndicate engaged in anti-national activities within the country in collaboration with Pakistan’s ISI.
KNOW THE ACCUSED: Harjeet Singh @ Harry Maur @ Chota Harry, age – 27 years s/o Gurtej Singh is resident of a small-town Maur Mandi in district Bhatinda, Punjab.
On 13th January 2022, on the directions of gangsters Fateh Nagri and Sukha Duneke, he along with his associates, brutally murdered two persons namely Manpreet @ Challa and Manpreet @ Vicky, who were close aides of gangster Kulbir Naruana, murdered in previous year in same manner by unknown assailants.
On 22nd March 2022, on the directions of Neeraj Faridpuria, he along with other associates, murdered one Yashbir and injured another with gunshots in Palwal, Haryana over a running rivalry.
Ms. Pratiksha Godara, IPS, DCP, Counter intelligence, Special Cell, said, Harjeet Singh @ Harry Maur @ Chota Harry and Harry Rajpura were the operatives on the ground for the aforementioned four foreign-based criminals, directly under their command. Initially employed as a shooter, Harjeet Singh @ Harry Maur @ Chota Harry later ascended in rank, ultimately assuming responsibility for overseeing all organized criminal activities of the syndicate. The extorted funds and the proceeds of smuggling are routed through Hawala channels to the foreign-based kingpins, from where they are redirected to these operatives in India for execution of criminal activities.
In March 2022, he along with his associates audaciously murdered Sandeep Nangal, an NRI based out of UK, in full public view during an ongoing Kabbadimatch in Nakodar, Punjab.
OVERVIEW: Arsh Dalla and Sukha Duneke were primarily engaged in targeted killings and extortion. They employed their network of sources to identify potential targets in India and conveyed instructions to Harry Maur, as well as Harry Rajpura, to carry out these assignments. Conversely, Lakhbir Singh @ Landa and Harvinder Singh @ Rinda, focused more on the trafficking of illicit weapons and narcotics across international borders. Harry Maur and Harry Rajpura, were tasked with facilitating the transportation of drone-delivered shipments to the various recipients. Sukha Duneke has reportedly been murdered in Canada by unknown assailants on 21/09/2023.

OPERATION: Harjeet Singh @ Harry Maur @ Chota Harry and Harry Rajpura were on run for last two years engaging in a series of criminal activities spanning various states. Both of them were posing a challenge to the internal security of the country while working at the behest of terrorists sitting abroad. They were rampantly involved in target killings, extortions, firing for gain and cross border smuggling of illegal firearms & drugs as well. The team had been continuously receiving inputs regarding their anti-national activities. Hence, a comprehensive operation was launched to dismantle this criminal syndicate.
As part of the intelligence-gathering process, it was discovered that Neeraj Faridpuria, a fugitive gangster from South Haryana believed to be in Portugal, had established connections with Canada-based gangster-turned-terrorist Arsh Dalla. They had arranged safe havens for their associates and sought to expand their criminal network within the Delhi NCR. To address this threat, technical surveillance efforts were focused on the southeastern region of Haryana, and informants were activated to gather crucial information.
During initial leads one highly suspicious node whose identity was later established as Munesh Lamba, a resident of Ballabgarh Haryana and college friend of Neeraj Faridpuria, was arrested by the team on 6th September 2023. Munesh Lamba made some shocking revelations and it surfaced that the top operative of the alliance has been provided shelter by Neeraj Faridpuria nearby Faridabad, Haryana on directions of Arsh Dalla.
Acting on this lead, the team arrested Rajvinder Singh @ Harry @ Bada Harry from Hodal Faridabad the very next day i.e. on 7th September 2023. He was running wanted in 03 cases of NIA and Punjab. He was subsequently grilled to get further leads regarding other gang members, who disclosed that Harjeet Singh @ Harry Maur @ Chota Harry is also hiding somewhere in nearby Faridabad, Haryana.
Based on these findings, the team concentrated on technical indicators indicative of activity within a specific region. After conducting an exhaustive analysis of the metadata, the team detected some highly suspicious activities. The technical team then initiated an in-depth data mining and digital trace collection operation. Simultaneously, intelligence sources were activated to support this endeavour. Recognizing that technical leads can often be ambiguous, the team started covertly validating these indicators. Following several days of unwavering dedication, the team successfully pinpointed a suspicious node.
However, this elusive suspect employed cunning tactics that made continuous surveillance impractical. Nevertheless, the team persisted in their relentless efforts, and finally on 06.10.2023, the team received a tip-off indicating that Harry would come near Apollo Hospital Sarita Vihar Delhi, in late evening hours to meet someone. Subsequently, a strategical trap was laid according to the input and after a swift and brief operation, the team successfully apprehended him. One highly sophisticated semi-automatic Pistol loaded with four live cartridges was recovered from his possession.
Legal action has been initiated against him and further interrogation of the accused is in progress.
