CHANDIGARH ADMINISTRATION ISSUES LICENCES FOR VARIOUS STALLS FOR SALE OF GREEN CRACKERS

UT Administration issues licences for various stalls for sale of green crackers . This year the applications for allotment of stalls were taken online. National Informatics centre was entrusted to develop the software. A total of 1814 applications were received online through the software for a total of 96 sites to be allotted. After scrutiny of the applications a computerized draw was conducted on Wednesday at Bal Bhawan sector 23.

The draw was successfully conducted by using the same software as developed by NIC. This is the first time in Chandigarh that a computerized draw was conducted for these license which brought a complete transparency on allotment of sites.

Rupesh Kumar Addl Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh under whose supervision this draw was said that this process of allotment is transparent and fair..
