In a major breakthrough, PO & Summon staff of Chandigarh Police under the directions of SSP U.T. Chandigarh and SP City, UT, Chandigarh in the supervision of Sh. Dilsher Singh, Dy. SP DCC and team headed by Sh. Hari Om Sharma, Inspector/Incharge PO & Summon staff is able to arrest 03 absconder/proclaimed offenders.
Police said, with the help of collection of information from different sources (technical & human) and a day/night search. The absconder/proclaimed offenders have been arrested with secret information of informer and all the sincere efforts of ASI Karanjit Singh 839/CP, ASI Rajpal 3170/CP, ASI Dinesh 3305/CP, HC Harjit Singh 2779/CP, Sr.C. Jitender 551/CP, Sr.C Rakesh 1308/CP, Sr.C Vipin 2345/CP, Sr.C Hardeep 2506/CP, C Kulwinder Singh 4822/CP, C. Mandeep 1960/CP. The Master Technical & Monitoring Cell of Chandigarh Police provided continuous assistance to locate the accused and helped the police officials of PO & Summon Staff:
(SUBHEADThe State case PO namely Manpreet Singh @ Gaggi S/o Chand Ram R/o Village Shyalba Majri, PS Majri, District Mohali, Punjab in case FIR No. 299 dated 21.12.2016, U/s 279, 337, 338 IPC and 3/181 & 196 MV Act, PS 36, Chandigarh has been arrested from Fatehgarh Sahib area. The case was registered on the complaint of Sunil Kumar S/o Sh. Balbir Singh R/o P-999, Tin Colony, Sector-52, Chandigarh, who stated that he does a Private Job.
On the day of accident he was going to drop his sister at her residence along with his sister, wife and nephew. When we reached at light point of Mattor Barrier, suddenly a speeding Mahindra Bolero loading Pickup bearing No CH04 L 5793 hit my bike directly without honking. I and my family fell down and we got injured. Later the case was registered against the said accused, who got absent before the Hon’ble Court. He was declared PO by the court of Sh. Jaspreet Singh Minhas, JMIC, Chandigarh, vide order dated 31.08.2023. The accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court and sent to judicial custody.
The State case PO namely Rocky S/o Madan Lal R/o H.No 1272, Deep Complex, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh in case FIR No. 123 dated 08.08.2021, U/s 61-1-14 excise Act, PS Industrial Area, Chandigarh has been arrested from Hallo Majra Light Point, Chandigarh. The case was registered on the complaint of HC Rajinder Kumar 472/CP who stated that 07 boxes of UK no. 1 Whisky was found/caught from a car bearing No. CH04 A 5302 near roadways workshop Phase 1 Industrial Area. The car was driven by the accused who could not show any license or Permit when asked. Later the case was registered against the said accused. Who got absent before the Hon’ble Court. He was declared PO by the Court of Sh. Aman Inder Singh, CJM, Chandigarh vide order dated 18.10.2023. The accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court.
The Non Bailable Warrant in state case executed with arrest of accused namely Tota Ram S/o Swaraj, R/o # 1909 Mauli Jagran Complex, Chandigarh. The accused was arrested from Mauli Complex, Chandigarh in case FIR No. 42 dated 22.03.2022, U/s 147, 148, 149, 341, 307, 506, 34 IPC & 25, 54, 59, Arms Act, PS Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. He got absent before the Hon’ble court and non bailable warrant issued against him by the Hon’ble Court of Sh. Rajeev K Beri, ASJ, Chandigarh. The accused was Produced before the Hon’ble Court and sent to judicial custody.
