AWWA PRESIDENT EXPRESSES COMMAND’S COMMITMENT TO SUPPORT VEER NARIS FOR THEIR SECURE FUTURE

A special conclave dedicated to the 'Veer Naris' of the Indian Army was organized at Chandimandir Military Station to honour their sacrifices and provide a platform to extend institutional support. The event was a collaborative effort between various civil and defence departments/organizations dedicated to the welfare of Veer Naris.

The conclave featured stalls established to facilitate the resolution of issues related to the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), Zila Sainik Board (ZSB), Army Welfare Placement Organisation (AWPO), and VSRC (SPARSH) helpline.

 

 Nine issues raised by the attendees were addressed and resolved on the spot, with the remaining issues being forwarded to the concerned authorities for prompt resolution. In a goodwill gesture, two elderly Veer Naris with mobility issues were provided with mobility chairs at their respective homes.

Mrs. Shuchi Katiyar, Regional President of the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA), attended the conclave and personally interacted with each Veer Nari present. In an emotional tribute, Mrs. Katiyar acknowledged the strength, courage, and resilience of these women, who have borne the weight of immense personal loss while contributing to the nation's defence. She called on government and civil support representatives to work together to build a sustainable network for the ongoing care of Veer Naris, ensuring they never face hardship in their time of need.

In her concluding remarks, Mrs. Katiyar reaffirmed the Western Command's commitment to honouring the legacy of our heroes, emphasizing the importance of continued support and empowerment for their families. The conclave reinforced the importance of maintaining this bond of service and sacrifice, and ensuring the wellbeing of the families who have given so much for the nation.
