Chandigarh Police has achieved a major success by arresting accused person namely Simranjeet Singh @ Sabby S/o Lt. Sh. Parveen Kumar R/O 1087 Sector-52, Pakki Colony Chandigarh, Present Address :- Room no.201 Dhillon Complex Village Kumbra Sector-68 Chandigarh who was involved in theft case i.e e-FIR No. 192 Dated 14.03.2023 U/s-379, PS 39, Chandigarh, which was registered on the complaint of Sohan Lal S/o Raja Ram R/o 2421/1 Sector-40 C Chandigarh.
On 03.11.2023 keeping in view the festival season, as per directions of Sh. Mridul IPS, SP/OPS, under the supervision of DSP/OPS Sh Jasbir Singh and under the close guidance of Insp Sher singh I/C Operation Cell, A team of operation Cell consisting ASI Ramesh Kumar 3433/CP, Ct. Gurpreet Singh 4607/CP, Ct Pankaj 6293/CP, Ct Sompal 3810/CP were on the patrolling in the area of UT Chandigarh to detect and prevention of crime.
(SUBHEAD) On the basis of secret information, Police party arrested a boy Simranjeet Singh @ Sabby S/o Late Sh. Parveen Kumar R/O 1087 Sector-52, Pakki Colony Chandigarh Present Address :- Room no.201 Dhillon Complex Village Kumbra Sector-68 Mohali PB and one stolen Aviator (two wheeler) No. CH01 AZ 9991 has been recovered from his possession.
Later on U/S 411 IPC is added in the present case.
During further course of investigation, 05 more Motorcycles (all are without number plates) i.e 04 Splender Motorcycle & one Pulsar Motorcycle were also recovered from his possession as per his disclosure statement and same were taken into police possession u/s 102 Cr.PC, which were stolen by him from different places of UT Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
The accused aged 28 years , studed upto 10th +2 , working as Patient Care at Private Hospital. He was previously involved in FIR No. 53 dated 22.05.2022 U/s 473,411 IPCPS-11, CHD 2. FIR No. 328 dated 22.09.2019 U/s 380,411IPCPS-39, CHD. 3. FIR No. 205 dated 19.05.22 U/s 379 IPC PSSector-7 PKL Haryana 4. FIR no. 127 dated 21.05.2022 U/s 379 IPC PS GRP Ambala Cantt Haryana.
