In a major breakthrough, Chandigarh Police got a major success while acting against drug suppliers. As per direction of Sh. Ketan Bansal, IPS, SP/Crime & HQ, under supervision of DSP Crime Sh. Udaypal Singh, a team of Crime Branch lead by Inspector Ashok Kumar nabbed drug peddler Rajesh and 38.96 grams heroin was recovered from his possession.
On Monday police party headed by SI Satyawan was on Crime Control and prevention patrolling duty in the area of Police Station Mauli Jagran in connection with the Diwali festival. While police party was near T Point Panchkula Baltana Road, Vill. Raipur Kalan, Chandigarh, on suspicion one person was apprehended who disclosed his name as Rajesh and 38.96 Grams Heroin was recovered from his possession.
(SUBHEAD)In this regard a Case FIR No. 130 Dt. 6.11.2023 U/S 21 NDPS ACT, PS-MJ, UT Chandigarh against him.
KNOW THE ACCUSED: Rajesh S/o Om Pal R/o # 2591, Mauli Jagran Complex, Chandigarh. Aged 22 years
Modus Operandi: Rajesh is a fruit vendor and drug addict. It is becoming difcult to survive on the income from the fruits, so he started selling drug to fulfl his needs of money as well as drug. He used to take drug from local supplier and further use to sell/consume on high rate, thus earned easy money.
Accused Rajesh was produced before the Hon’ble District Court and police remand is obtained to ascertain the sources of origin of recovered contraband drugs and name of person (s), whom, it to be sell in tricity.
