CHANDIGARH POLICE ELABORATE SECURITY ARRANGEMENT FOR DIWALI FESTIVAL

Chandigarh Police Special Arrangements in view of Diwali Festival-2023 Keeping in view of Diwali Festival, Chandigarh Police has made special arrangements from 10.11.2023 to 12.11.2023 to avoid any untoward incidents and to maintain Law & Order in the city From 10.11.2023, approximately 800 police
personnel including 5 GOs, 27 SHO’s/Inspectors, 800 NGOs/ORs will be deployed to keep watch on miscreants etc.

The special 42 floating Nakas from Police Stations will be laid randomly at different places. 18 Outer border Nakas will be effective by CRPF force along with guide of local police.

The PCR vehicles patrolling will be intensified around the markets and special cheetah motor cycles remain active in the busy markets areas and also keep watch on miscreants etc.

The parking lots has been provided at the Govt. Schools near to busy markets of sector-08, 15, 18,  19, 20, 22, 29, 30, 32, 34, 35, 37, 38, 40, 41, 44, 45, 46, 47 and Manimajra, Chandigarh for proper parking.
