In a major breakthrough, Chandigarh Police got a major success while acting against drug suppliers. A team of ANTF on the direction of Sh. Ketan Bansal, IPS, SP/Crime and close guidance of DSP Crime Sh. Udaypal Singh and under the supervision of Inspector Satwinder Singh nabbed drug supplier namely Gurpreet Singh and recovered 53.04 gram heroin from his possession.
On 13.12.2023 police party headed by SI Baljit singh was on crime control and prevention patrolling duty in the area of Police Station Sector 49, Chandigarh. While police party was near Electricity Pole No. 17/48A, Kachi Parking Sector 48C, Chandigarh, on suspicion one person was apprehended who disclosed his name as Gurpreet Singh and 30.04 Grams Heroin was recovered from his possession. In this regard a Case FIR No. 82 Dt. 13.12.2023 U/S 21 NDPS ACT, PS-49, UT Chandigarh against him.
(SUBHEAD)The accused identified as Gurpreet Singh S/o Sh. Sukhdev Singh R/o VPO Sohana, Sector 78, SAS Nagar, Mohali, Punjab. Aged 31 Years and originally hails from Ferozepore and presently residing in Sohana and to earn easy money he brought drug from Ferozepur at the low price and sold it at a high rate in the tricity.
From the investigation it come to notice that he is a taxi driver and drug addict. Accused Gurpreet Singh was produced before the Hon’ble District Court and sent to judicial custody.
