The team of Police Station Sector 36 Chandigarh solved two theft cases i.e. one House Theft and one MV theft Case The stolen property i.e. Gas Cylinder and one M/cycle HF Deluxe CH01CR2057 has been recovered. Expect this 10 more stolen Gas Cylinder which they stole from Chandigarh area and one Stolen Activa which they stole from Mohali area has been recovered from the possession
of accused.
On 08.12.23 complainant Chandan Kumar S/o Ram Swarup R/o 996 Sector 45 Burail was registered E-FIR No 1076 dt 08.12.23 U/s 379 IPC PS-36 Chandigarh regarding stolen of his M/Cycle no HF Deluxe CH01CR2057 from near Attawa Sector 42 Chandigarh.
On 18.12.2023 complainant Sh. Neeraj Prabhat Mohi S/o Sh. D.S. Mohi R/o H no. 2505, Sec 35C, Chandigarh Age-42 Years reported about the theft of one Gas Cylinder (Indane) from his H.no. 2505, Sec 35C, Chandigarh on 10.12.23 noon time when he was away from the house. A Case FIR no- 465 dated 18.12.2023 U/S-380 IPC was registered at Police Station 36 and investigation
has been taken up.
On 30.12.2023 working on the instructions/directions of Senior Ofcers Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, W/SSP/UT Chandigarh, and Sh. Mridul, IPS, SP City the two teams of Police Station Sector-36 under the close supervision of Insp Om Parkash 691/CHG, SHO/PS-36 and overall supervision of Sh Charanjit Singh Virk SDPO/South West was constituted and two Nakas were laid down to nab the i.e. one Naka on dividing road Sector 42/36 near Gurudwara Attawa and Second Naka at back side bus Stand ISBT-43 Chandigarh.
During frst Naka at dividing road Sector 42/36 near Gurudwara Attawa the police party Naka party stopped one Activa rider who was carrying one gas cylinder on his Activa No PB65Q2681 who tried to run away on seeing the Naka party and on getting suspecious Naka party appreanhed the activa rider
along with gas cylinder who disclosed his name as Ranjeet Kumar S/o Shankar Shah Gupta R/o Near Airport Wall, Jhuggi, Village Jagatpura, Mohali PB. Age36 Years. During interrogation he disclosed that he had stolen this Activa from Mohali area and thereafter he had stolen this gas cylinder from sector 35
Chandigarh on 10.12.2023 and today he was going to sold it to someone.
Accordinly he has been arrested in case FIR 465 Dt 18.12.23 U/S-380 IPC added 411 IPC PS-36 Chandigarh.
During Second Naka which was laid down at Back Side Bus Stand ISBT-43 Chandigarh the police party nabbed a person person who was riding on M/Cycle HF Deluxe CH01CR2057 who disclosed his name as Sonu Kumar S/o Kali Charan R/o H no. 178, Village Kajheri, Sec 52, Chd. Age-29Years and further disclosed that he had stolen this M/Cycle from Attawa Sector 42 Chandigarh. Accordinly he has been arrested in case E-FIR No. 1076 dated 08.12.2023 U/s 379 IPC PS-36 Chandigarh
INTERROGATION: On sustained interrogation of both accused, 10 more gas cylinder and ne stolen Activa has been recovered from the possession of accused Ranjeet Kumar and one stolen M/Cycle recovered from the possession of accused Sonu Kumar.

Village Jagatpura, Mohali PB. Age-36Years, Sonu Kumar S/o Kali Charan R/o H no. 178, Village Kajheri, Sec 52, Chd. Age-29Years.
MODUS OPERANDI: During interrogation, it found that both the accused are drug addicts and needed money to fulfl their demand of drugs and they started committing thefts during the wee hours to meet their day to day expenditures.
The above said accused produced before the Hon’ble Court today and one day police remand accused Ranjeet Kumar has been obtained and accused Sonu Kumar has been sent to judicial Custody. Further investigation is in progress.
