PANCHKULA POLICE ARRESTED 17 PERSONS IN GAMBLING IN PUBLIC PLACE

On the direction of DCP Panchkula Sumer Pratap Singh, IPS the police taken stringent against individuals engaged in gambling and alcohol consumption in public spaces within the district on Friday, the 17 gamblers were apprehended.

Uder the guidance of SHO chandimandir Lalit kumar by the ASI Vinod and his team members 13 gamblers were arrested in a public place at Chandimandir. The detained individuals, identified as Jagir Hasan son of Budhukhan, resident of Saini Mohhalla Pinjore, Gulsnavar son of Aneesh, resident of Saini Mohhalla Pinjore, Akit son of Ashok Kumar, resident of village Beed Ghaghar Pachankula, Rajesh Kumar son of Sagam Ram, resident of Palli Suyungi Surajpur Pinjore, and Basant son of Padam, resident of Chandi Mandir, along with Surajpur resident Manish son of Baken Lal, were arrested for illegal gambling, with Rs 4270 involved.

The accused were booked under the Gambling Act at Chandimandir.

Furthermore, under the guidance of Incharge Police Post Sector 16 Gurpal Singh, four individuals were apprehended in the Sector 16 area for engaging in illegal gambling in a public place.

The arrested individuals, namely Tiku son of Ram, resident of Mauli Jangra, Chandigarh, Mukesh son of Devendra, resident of Inclave Dhalauli Punjab, Krishna son of Sugriva, resident of Mauli Jangra, Chandigarh, and Dinesh Naveen Rakesh resident of Mauli Jangra, Chandigarh, were found with a total amount of Rs 4590. A case was registered in Sector 14 against the accused.
