Prof GS Dhillon

Prominent scholar Prof Gurdial Singh Dhillon has passed away. He took his last breath at his South Avenue residence here yesterday. Prof Dhillon was former head of Post Graduate Department of Punjabi in DAV College, Abohar. He served around for 35 years in the college and under his worthy guidance several students achieved various heights in their career.

Post graduation in Punjabi at DAV College was started because of his untiring efforts. His research paperswere carried by leading magazines. He was honored by many literary and cultural organizations for his contribution in the field of teaching, literature and cultural activities. His sudden demise was today mourned in the DAV campus and literary organisations including Lekhak Parishad.
